Position Overview

We're looking for a hands-on, driven Solar Sales Account Executive to help lead our early-stage growth. You'll play a key role in building the sales function, growing our customer base, and shaping how we deliver clean energy solutions to the market. This role blends leadership and active selling, initially functioning as a player/coach with the exciting opportunity to build a growing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and customer acquisition.

- Lead by example as a player/coach, managing your own sales pipeline while mentoring and growing a team of sales professionals.

- Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

- Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.

- Work closely with marketing to boost lead generation and brand presence.

- Use sales data and market insights to spot growth opportunities and refine strategies.

- Collaborate with technical and installation teams to ensure clients get outstanding service.

- Prepare sales forecasts and reports for leadership.

- Represent the company at events and trade shows.

Strategic and Ongoing Duties

- Host regular sales team meetings to discuss progress and align goals.

- Track and analyze sales performance, lead conversions, and team progress.

- Keep sales pipelines updated and follow up personally with high-potential leads.

- Provide ongoing coaching focused on product knowledge and sales skills.

- Gather and share market intelligence and competitor updates.

- Coordinate closely with marketing, technical, and installation teams to share feedback.

- Help resolve client questions or post-sale issues quickly.

- Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports for senior management.

- Take part in monthly one-on-one reviews and sales strategy adjustments.

- Manage sales budgets and incentive programs.

- Participate in community and industry events to generate leads.

- Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 3-5 years sales experience, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors.

- A proven track record of exceeding sales goals.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

- CRM, sales analytics, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
