Data Center Management - Section Head

Job Description:

  • Provide guidance to MIS & IT Group based on management direction and objectives of all projects.

  • Guide Data Center Management Team to accomplish assigned task in the given time frame.

  • Manage and monitor daily activities of DC Engineers (System Administrator, Network Administrator) & Helpdesk personnel and make sure all assign job were accomplished.

  • Lead problem solving and collaboration, escalate issues which cannot be accomplished.

  • Assure that all team members have the required education and training to effectively participate on their assigned job or project.

  • Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, development process, techniques and tools to support task performance.

  • Help keep the team focused and on track to assign job or project.

  • Create an environment oriented to open communications, creative thinking, cohesive team effort and workplace trust.

  • Provide a superior IT experience for each of our clients by working with them directly on all day to day requests or ongoing initiatives.

  • Manage continuous process improvement of all network and network security related initiatives.

  • Participates in planning, designing local and wide area networks.

  • Ensures LAN/WAN environment is secure and offers the appropriate level of high availability, redundancy and failover.

  • Reviews and studies selected vendor LAN/WAN software and hardware products to determine those that meet the Company's needs.

  • Participates in the presentation of information to the management that may result in the purchase of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment.

  • Adhere to company guidelines and procedures.

  • Be part of an on call rotation that provides 24/7 support.

Job Qualifications:

  • BS IT or Computer Science or equivalent

  • 5-10 years' experience in Data Center Management and Operation

  • Experience in managing intermediate to large networks in a corporate environment.

  • Experience in managing security in a multi-disciplined environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, written, and organizational skills.
