Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Associate who thrives on building relationships and driving growth. This role will focus on face-to-face outreach, identifying opportunities for oboda to present our solutions, and cultivating partnerships across key industry verticals. The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable engaging , and capable of collaborating closely with product, marketing, operations, and training teams to ensure clients experience the full value of oboda's system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle and customer success process, from initial outreach and closing to onboarding and long-term account growth.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align field efforts with campaigns, events, and lead-generation strategies.
  • Collaborate with operations and training teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and ongoing support.
  • Partner with engineering teams to communicate client needs, align on feature priorities, and coordinate realistic timelines for delivery.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for oboda to present or sponsor events, such as industry forums, trade association meetings, or cooperative gatherings.
  • Build and nurture relationships across verticals (manufacturing, wholesale, distribution) to establish long-term business opportunities.
  • Conduct door-to-door, face-to-face selling with distributors, wholesalers, and traditional businesses.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, field sales, or B2B relationship management (experience in IT, ERP, or SaaS is a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging business owners and decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in the field.
  • Familiarity with Filipino distribution and wholesale business culture is an advantage.
  • Interest in innovation and AI-powered business solutions is a strong plus.
