Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Project-In-Charge to oversee and manage the execution of architectural fit-out and construction projects. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in architectural fit-out works or 8 years in general construction, with the ability to manage all site activities, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution:

  • Lead day-to-day site operations and ensure timely execution of all project activities.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of architectural fit-out or construction works, from mobilization to handover.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs to ensure execution aligns with design intent and quality standards.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks at the site.
  • Ensure proper documentation, approvals, and site records (inspection requests, test reports, as-built drawings, etc.).

Resource & Cost Management:

  • Plan manpower, materials, and equipment to meet project timelines.
  • Track project progress against schedules and budgets.
  • Control wastage and optimize resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Client & Consultant Coordination:

  • Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Address site challenges proactively and escalate critical issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural fit-out projects OR minimum 8 years in general construction.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, interior finishes, MEP coordination, and project sequencing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of drawings, specifications, construction materials, and interior works.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic quantity take-offs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
