The Assistant Accounting Manager will support the Finance/Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. This role involves supervising accounting staff, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, supporting cost accounting activities, and maintaining effective internal controls. Strong experience in SAP (FI/CO/MM modules preferred) and knowledge of manufacturing processes is required.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Review general ledger entries and ensure timely month-end closing.
  • Reconcile accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain and update chart of accounts and internal controls.

Cost & Manufacturing Accounting

  • Support standard costing, cost variance analysis, and BOM/route accuracy.
  • Monitor production costs, inventory valuation, and scrap reporting.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory control.

SAP System Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting processes within SAP FI/CO, and coordinate with IT for system enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting within SAP modules (FI, CO, MM).
  • Train and support team members on SAP best practices.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in internal and external audit coordination.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting staff.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments for seamless financial operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA is a plus.
  • 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO preferred).
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month
