Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and present hot dishes (such as noodles, soups, rice meals, and stir-fried items) in accordance with Ling Nam's recipes and portion standards.
  • Ensure all food items are properly seasoned, cooked to the right temperature, and plated neatly.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and sanitation of the hot kitchen area, including work surfaces, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or needed supplies to the Kitchen Supervisor or Head Chef.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food safety, hygiene, and equipment operation.
  • Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of raw materials.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely preparation of orders, especially during peak hours.
  • Comply with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and local food safety standards.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management.

Qualifications:
  • At least High School Graduate or Vocational Course in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • With minimum 1 year experience as a Cook or Kitchen Staff, preferably in a Chinese or Asian restaurant.
  • Knowledgeable in basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment use.
  • Can work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, cleanliness, and teamwork.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long hours.
  • Can lift and carry kitchen supplies up to 20 kg.
  • Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment.

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time; shifting schedule including weekends and holidays.
