This role requires expertise in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, professionalism and discipline in the kitchen.

Job Title: Line Cook of Talisay, the Garden Cafe

Location: Talisay, The Garden Café - #44 Maginhawa Street, UP Village, Quezon City

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Food preparation and Quality control: Preparation of Ingredients, Cooking and Plating, Follow recipes accurately, Kitchen Efficiency and Cleanliness, Stock Management
  • Equipment use and Maintenance: Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunction
  • Coordination with Kitchen and Service Staff: Order timing and execution
  • Team work and collaboration: with fellow cooks, chefs, and office staff
  • Additional related tasks: Waste reduction, guest interaction, attend training sessions, and kitchen meetings, mentor or guide junior kitchen staff

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in high-temperature kitchen environments
  • Capacity to life and carry items up to 30 lbs
  • Dexterity to handle kitchen tools and hot equipment safely

WHAT WE NEED:

Educational Requirements: Graduate of culinary, Food and Nutrition and Dietetics, Hotel and Restaurant Management or any related degree

Professional Training/Certificate: National Certificate II (Higher certification is an advantage) and/or Relevant training and certification in commercial cooking and baking

Working Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Line Cook, or with proven experience with Hot Kitchen
