POSITION SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Staff supports overall kitchen operations by performing food preparation, dishwashing, and cleaning duties. This role assists chefs and cooks in ensuring timely and high-quality food production while maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Food Preparation and Assistance

  • Assist chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning food items.
  • Support in plating, garnishing, and assembling dishes as directed by the Head or Assistant Chef.
  • Ensure all food items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated following FIFO (First In, First Out) standards.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.

2. Dishwashing and Sanitation

  • Wash and sanitize all kitchen tools, utensils, glassware, plates, and cooking equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, sinks, and dishwashing areas at all times.
  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure garbage bins are emptied and sanitized regularly.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies as required by local health regulations.

3. Kitchen Maintenance and Support

  • Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, chillers, and freezers.
  • Monitor and report any malfunction or damage to kitchen tools, equipment, or facilities.
  • Refill cleaning and sanitizing materials as needed.
  • Support chefs in daily mise en place and during busy service periods.

4. Teamwork and Coordination

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow instructions from senior kitchen personnel and assist in other kitchen-related duties as needed.
  • Uphold the restaurant's quality and service standards in every task performed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least High School or Senior High School graduate; vocational course in culinary or hospitality an advantage.
  • Preferably with experience in food preparation, kitchen support, or dishwashing in a restaurant setting.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, hot, and busy kitchen environment.
  • Team player, reliable, and willing to learn new skills.

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays, depending on restaurant operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: Php17, Php18,070.00 per month
