Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience in a large organization, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles; working knowledge of US GAAP is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, ReconNet, ARCS, and advanced PC skills, including databases, Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with proven experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and perform with minimal supervision.
  • High integrity and strong business ethics, with a proactive and initiative-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and decision-making support for banking reconciliations and related financial analysis.
  • Oversee and supervise Corporate, Retail, and Electronic banking teams by developing strong knowledge of relevant concepts and processes.
  • Manage period-end and quarter-end close activities for all banking teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries related to bank reconciliation items and other applicable transactions.
  • Direct daily operations of the Banking Department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to internal controls.
  • Train, coach, and motivate staff to build a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform detailed account analyses and recommend or coordinate necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closing of accounting books, meeting all reporting and processing deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve reconciliation issues and provide clear communication on outcomes.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of department staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php70, Php80,000.00 per month
