A globally recognized financial institution is seeking a dynamic leader to drive its regulatory remediation and control optimization agenda across its shared services and business operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in transforming governance frameworks, building regulatory confidence, and strengthening organizational resilience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead remediation and controls initiatives that enhance compliance readiness and operational discipline.
  • Oversee a team of senior managers responsible for control testing, regulatory remediation, and audit preparedness.
  • Partner with global stakeholders to assess control gaps, implement sustainable fixes, and embed stronger governance practices.
  • Support enterprise-level reviews and regulator interactions, ensuring alignment with global and local standards.
  • Champion transformation in controls design, automation, and data-driven risk reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and risk partners.

What You'll Bring

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in regulatory compliance, risk, or control management, ideally within banking or insurance.
  • Proven leadership in regulatory remediation, audit readiness, or operational risk transformation.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, regulatory expectations, and control testing methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior levels.
  • Background in OSFI-E21, SOX, or equivalent frameworks an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance; relevant certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC) preferred.
