
Business Development Officer

Job Purpose
The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strategic relationships with clients—particularly in the FMCG, Retail, Apparel, and Interior Design sectors—to drive revenue growth through the sale of Brand Maximizers' products, including point-of-purchase displays, roll-up banners, exhibition booths, and related promotional materials.
This role involves proactively creating connections not only with direct clients but also indirect end users and decision-makers across target industries. The BDO will manage a portfolio of key accounts, conduct market research, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver end-to-end, high-quality client experiences.
Key Performance Indicators
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Number of new accounts closed; frequency of repeat orders.
- Sales Revenue Growth: Achievement against monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Lead Conversion Rate: Success rate of converting prospects into paying clients.
- Client Engagement: Number of presentations, visits, and telemarketing touchpoints.
- Market Expansion: Acquisition of accounts in new sectors or geographic territories.
- Event Participation Impact: Leads and deals generated from exhibits and marketing campaigns.
- Collaboration Effectiveness: Timely execution of joint campaigns with Sales and Marketing teams.
Job Duties
Prospecting & Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in FMCG, Retail, Apparel, and Interior sectors.
- Conduct presentations to end users to promote the company's products and generate demand.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities and develop a strong pipeline
Client Servicing & Sales
- Conduct regular client visits to ensure satisfaction and repeat orders.
- Perform monthly telemarketing campaigns to engage and re-engage potential clients.
- Lead negotiations, pricing, and proposal preparation for client agreements.
Collaboration & Strategy Execution
- Collaborate with the Marketing Officer and Sales Team to drive product-specific campaigns and digital promotions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution and delivery of solutions.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Attend trade shows, exhibits, and networking events to represent the brand and generate new leads.
- Work with the Marketing Officer to organize events, man booths, and execute digital marketing strategies.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to uncover trends and new opportunities.
- Provide regular reports, actionable insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Sales of Related Solutions
- Work with the Sales Department to promote and drive sales toward additional product lines such as printers and display accessories.
