Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare and bake a wide range of desserts, pastries, and breads, following both traditional and modern recipes.
  • Recipe Development: Create new and innovative recipes to enhance the menu and engage customers.
  • Decoration and Presentation: Decorate pastries and desserts using various icings and toppings to ensure visually appealing presentations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient stocks, order supplies, and ensure proper rotation of products to maintain freshness.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all baked goods meet high standards of quality and presentation, checking the quality of raw and cooked food products.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, guiding and training junior staff as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Culinary Expertise: Strong background in culinary arts, particularly in baking and pastry techniques.
  • Creativity: Ability to design and create visually stunning desserts and pastries.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to work long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with the management, kitchen staff and understand customer preferences.
