About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled General Accountant Supervisor to join our dynamic Isetann Department Store, Inc. team in our Recto, Metro Manila office. As the General Accountant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and the implementation of best practices.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and lead the accounting team in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and streamlining financial operations
  • Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Financial Accounting & Reporting role, preferably in the Retail industry
  • Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Effective leadership and people management abilities
  • Proficient in using accounting software and data analysis tools
