Human Resources Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This mid-level role is ideal for an HR professional with at least five years of hands-on experience across the full spectrum of HR functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting organizational goals through effective employee relations, talent management, compliance, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
● Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Employee Relations & Engagement
● Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
● Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Performance Management
● Guide managers and employees through performance review cycles.
● Assist in developing performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
● Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and communication.
● Support compensation reviews and ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
Compliance & HR Policies
● Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal laws.
● Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbooks.
● Support audits, reporting, and documentation requirements.
HR Operations & Data Management
● Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
● Generate reports and metrics to support decision-making.
● Assist with payroll coordination where applicable.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
● Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines.
● Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
● Proficiency with HRIS systems; experience with [insert HRIS if applicable] preferred.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
● Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Attributes
● HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
● Experience in [industry, e.g., tech, manufacturing] is an asset.
● Proven ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
