The Import Officer manages the end-to-end importation process, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners, and overseeing timely delivery and payment of international shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and coordinate with suppliers for order confirmation.
  • Process international payments, including Telegraphic Transfers and Letter of Credit (L/C) applications.
  • Handle import documentation and ensure compliance with customs and BIR regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines for smooth clearance and delivery.
  • Track incoming shipments and resolve any customs or delivery issues.
  • Work with inventory, warehouse, and finance teams to manage stock and ensure timely duty/tax payments.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare import reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field, Engineer
  • 2+ years of experience in import/export or logistics operations
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, international trade, and payment processes (TT and L/C)
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP or logistics systems is a plus
