
HR Learning and Development Specialist

Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resources - Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs across the organization. This role plays a critical part within the HR function, contributing to onboarding, leadership development, performance improvement, and cultural alignment. It bridges training and strategic HR initiatives by aligning learning efforts with workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience in an L&D or HR development role and a proven ability to design learning solutions that promote individual and organizational performance.
This is a night shift position with a schedule of 9am EST - 6pm EST.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Needs Analysis

Conduct organization-wide and department-specific needs assessments to identify training and development priorities.

Analyze performance gaps and use insights to design targeted learning solutions.

Prepare and present annual L&D plans as part of HR's broader talent strategy, including goals for employee capability development.
Program Design and Development

Design and build scalable learning programs that support both compliance and strategic HR initiatives, including onboarding, DEI, leadership pipelines, and employee engagement.

Apply instructional design best practices to create engaging, interactive content for various learning formats (in-person, virtual, blended).

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
Facilitation and Delivery

Deliver training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques tailored to diverse learning styles.

Facilitate live and virtual workshops, new hire orientation, and development programs across all levels of the organization.

Support HR-led global and cross-functional development initiatives.
Evaluation and Reporting

Create and implement tools to measure training effectiveness (e.g., feedback forms, knowledge checks, performance indicators).

Monitor learning KPIs and use data to improve content, delivery, and outcomes; Analyze learning data to inform HR decision-making

Provide monthly and ad-hoc reports on training completion rates, impact, and performance metrics.
Operations and Administration

Manage all training logistics, LMS administration, and records maintenance, aligning all learning systems with HRIS platforms and talent lifecycle processes.

Track training budgets, support vendor sourcing, and manage training-related costs.

Ensure training programs are aligned with business goals and consistently updated.
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with managers, leaders, and HR to align learning initiatives with team and company goals.

Support coaching and mentoring efforts to help managers build stronger teams.

Assist with broader Talent Development and HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Participate in broader HR initiatives, such as employee engagement campaigns, performance enablement, and organizational development efforts.
Other Roles and Tasks Assigned

Deliver and continuously improve the new hire orientation experience.

Facilitate global development programs and support international HR L&D initiatives.

Perform administrative and maintenance tasks within the Learning Management System (LMS).

Provide support for cross-functional projects in L&D, Talent Development, and broader HR initiatives.

Help managers with team development through career pathing and development planning.

Manage and prioritize multiple training and development projects with competing deadlines.

Collaborate across all levels of the organization—from frontline employees to executive leaders to embed HR values and learning

Stay informed on industry trends in HR development, leadership, management, and professional development.

Integrate modern learning methods such as social learning, mobile learning, and digital platforms into L&D offerings.

Apply basic project management skills to ensure training programs are delivered on time and within scope.

Work with stakeholders to understand key business drivers and align training to support performance improvement.
Required Qualifications
-
5 years of experience in Learning and Development, Industrial/Organizational Development, and Human Resources Training roles.

Strong portfolio of developed training programs, including onboarding, leadership, HR initiatives, and functional training.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.

Skilled in instructional design, content creation, facilitation, and program evaluation.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Experience working in multicultural or technical environments is a plus.
