About this role . . .

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our growing finance team. The AR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely payments from customers, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and distribute invoices to customers accurately and promptly (via email or portal upload).
• Reply to all client inquiries in a timely manner and escalate any issues as needed.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments via email and escalate collections efforts as needed.
• Process customer payments, including cash, checks, and electronic transfers, and accurately record them in the accounting system.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of customer contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify potential bad debts and develop strategies for collection.
• Collaborate with the appropriate teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for invoices, payments, and other AR documentation.
• Adhere to company policies and processes related to accounts receivable.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications / Skills:

• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail are mandatory.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting function preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Tipalti). Note: on the job training will be provided, but proficiency in accounting software is preferred.
• Experience with automated accounts receivable systems.
• Knowledge of credit and collections practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
