We're looking for a hands-on Accounts Assistant to take ownership of Accounts Receivable and support the Management Accountant with month-end and reporting. You'll be the first point of contact for the accounts inbox and keep our ledgers clean, current, and audit-ready.

What You'll Do

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Raise sales invoices accurately and on schedule

  • Reconcile the sales tracker vs. invoices raised; resolve variances
  • Chase debtors (polite, persistent cadence); maintain notes & promised-to-pay

  • Cash & Ledgers

  • Daily Bank reconciliations in Xero

  • Post journals (accruals/prepayments/basic reclasses) with support from the MA

  • Reporting & Month-End

  • Update reports

  • Assist with month-end close (cut-offs, reconciliations, schedules)
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Admin & Controls

  • Accounts mailbox management: triage, assign, respond, file

  • Support payment runs (checks, remittances) and raising payments where needed
  • Maintain tidy digital records for audit and compliance

What You'll Need

  • Xero experience (must-have) and good Excel/Sheets skills (lookups, pivots)
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and clear communication
  • Experience in AR/credit control and basic bookkeeping

Nice to have

  • Experience in a product/e-commerce environment
  • Knowledge of VAT basics
  • Experience in reconciling Shopify, Amazon & tiktok

Work Location

  • Home-based
  • Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)
  • Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM)
