About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist to support our Australian client's finance operations remotely from the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage both receivables and payables efficiently. This role is integral to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial transactions for our client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding accounts.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) functions, such as verifying, coding, and processing supplier invoices and staff reimbursements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, manage payment runs, and ensure timely settlements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Generate and maintain reports for both internal and client review.
  • Liaise with Australian counterparts, vendors, and clients to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and local/Australian regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with Australian clients or international finance teams is an advantage.
  • Stable internet connection and proficiency in remote collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, or MS Teams).
