Our organization is seeking a diligent Medical Support Associate to join its team, specializing in family medicine and internal medicine support. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate patient records within a health information system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet callers professionally and address patient needs promptly
  • Schedule primary care appointments for annual exams, chronic care follow-ups, acute visits, and preventive screenings
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, including co-pays, deductibles, and network status
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately in a health information system
  • Assist with patient portal setup and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with clinical staff for smooth patient flow and timely care delivery
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding test results, referrals, and follow-up instructions in alignment with practice policies
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or internal medicine
  • Proficiency in a health information system, including scheduling, documentation, and patient communication features
  • Strong knowledge of primary care visit types, referral processes, and insurance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm EST.
