Job Overview

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks including issuing counter receipts, executing payments, and verifying supporting documents. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Issue counter receipts for received petty cash replenishment from branches or invoices from suppliers.
  • Execute payment for recurring expenses for all government related transactions such as business tax, VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, documentary stamps.
  • Verify completeness of supporting documents and validity of non-trade transactions based on company policies and guidelines such as cash advances of employees, rental and utilities for new branches, IT-related expenses, construction/renovation of branches, fixed assets, loan payment, land acquisition, pension, marketing expenses, directors allowance, donations, representations, and dividends.
  • Connect with department managers for noted discrepancies on non-trade transactions.
  • Execute disbursement vouchers in the accounting system.
  • Endorse recorded transactions and supporting documents to the accounts payable supervisor for review.
  • Communicate with suppliers for follow-up of billings.
  • Print creditable withholding tax certificates.
  • Update monitoring files and database systems for reference.
  • Run amortization of prepaid expenses in the accounting system and check posted transactions.
  • Write reports on inventory financing based on amount due to supplier.
  • Submit monthly reports of assigned accounts.
  • Conduct account/transaction confirmation to customers, suppliers, or employees.
  • Organize filing and maintenance of reference documents.
Requirements
  • A senior high school graduate or college undergraduate of accounting, business management, or finance provided that the candidate has the required relevant work experience indicated and with approval of hiring manager and department head.
  • Over 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and judgment/problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to detail to avoid errors and probable loss.
  • Familiarity with MS Office or Google Suite.
Qualifications
  • Senior high school graduate or college undergraduate degree in accounting, business management, or finance.
  • Relevant work experience of over 1 year.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with MS Office or Google Suite.
