Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Financial Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to accounting and reporting activities by managing day-to-day financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations and policies.

About the Role

  • This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, preparation of reports, and maintenance of accounting records.
  • In addition, you will assist in the review and processing of invoices, resolution of payment queries, and verification of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  2. Process financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and journal entries, in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  4. Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  5. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Current or pending certifications as an accountant.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software packages.
  • Audit experience preferred.
