Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our finance team.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, supporting month-end closing, and ensuring accounting accuracy and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and payments/refunds; review, verify, and reconcile invoices to purchase orders and vendor statements; resolve discrepancies and liaise with internal departments and vendors.
  • General Accounting: Balance Sheet reconciliation preparation (Banks and other accounts); reconcile accounts payable with the general ledger and maintain accurate records; assist with month-end closing, journal entries, and financial reporting; ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements; improve financial processes by recommending enhancements to controls or workflows; assist with preparing and filing tax payments or other reports, as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced Excel and spreadsheet proficiency.
  • Certifications (CPA, CA) are a plus.
