Our organization seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage vendor relations, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely financial transactions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Reviewing invoices for accuracy and processing payments promptly.
  • Vendor Management: Building relationships with suppliers, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling inquiries.
  • Expense Reconciliation: Verifying invoice information against purchase orders and receipts.
  • Payment Coordination: Initiating payments through various channels, including electronic transfers and checks.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing accounts payable activity reports, including aging analysis and cash flow projections.
  • Expense Control: Monitoring company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors.
  • Issue Resolution: Identifying and resolving account payable-related issues, such as disputes or missing documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience, or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including overnight hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts payable principles and standards.
  • High accuracy in financial record-keeping and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
