We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Team Lead in day-to-day operational management within the Bids and Proposals function.
The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of bid experience, preferably within a professional services firm in a similar industry. They will possess advanced proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint, and have an understanding of graphic design and an eye for communicating content visually.
The Bid Specialist will lead on region-specific must-win pursuits and manage complex compliance requirements. They will contribute to and lead Go/No Go and green light analysis/readiness to bid assessment in partnership with capture/bid managers, and update CRM data as needed to maintain accuracy.
The successful candidate will also build positive relationships and support team formations on pursuits. They will contribute, write and edit key draft proposal content such as executive summaries or cover letters, and develop content plans for proposals or provide templates to writing teams with specific requirements/compliance or messaging guidance.
In addition, the Bid Specialist will facilitate and organize content for milestone and color reviews, manage recovery and implementation of comments, and finalize documents and compliance. They will collaborate with graphic designers on design and custom graphics or layout, and support final and edit layout in Word, InDesign, or other programs, following branded templates and coordinating final production.
The ideal candidate will conduct client or industry research as needed, serve as a champion for specific clients/portfolio or sector of the business line, and contribute to new content. They will also coordinate with subcontractors to gather data required and provide technical guidance, participate at pre-bid meetings with bid or capture managers to build knowledge or external relationships, and apply technical knowledge and work with senior members of the team in managing complex pursuits and developing process improvement initiatives.
The Bid Specialist will address critical and unique issues, identify risks, and propose ways to prevent occurrence of similar issues and concerns. They will lead and support key improvement projects and provide guidance and technical expertise to junior members of the team.
Requirements- Candidate must be open to hybrid setup/2x to 3x a week office work
- Amenable for night shift schedule
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 6-8 years of bid experience, preferably within a professional services firm in a similar industry
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word and PowerPoint
- Understanding of graphic design and an eye for communicating content visually
- Skills in Adobe Creative especially InDesign would be highly regarded
