Job Overview

This senior accounting professional will be responsible for preparing financial statements, income tax returns and Business Activity Statements for various clients. The role requires a strong focus on client satisfaction and the ability to grow a career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, tax returns and BAS statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively assisting clients with their queries and meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax law changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Interpret and explain tax law to clients, ensuring they understand the implications and requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client history and trust details, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or similar relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an accounting firm or industry-related business.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Able to adapt quickly to new software and technology, with experience using Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks an advantage.
  • Demonstrate energy, drive and a positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities.
