Special Education Teacher

The role of a Special Education Teacher involves delivering instruction and monitoring student progress in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments. This ensures that students receive tailored support according to their needs. The teacher will work closely with students, families, and Academic Advisors to maintain accurate records, identify areas requiring remediation, and implement necessary accommodations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide orientation to students, communicate course requirements, and monitor student progress and pacing.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of assigned courses or subjects.
  • Cultivate awareness of the diverse backgrounds and needs of PA Cyber students and families.
  • Lead live class sessions within the Virtual Classroom and/or Blended Classroom settings.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a valid Pennsylvania State Teaching Certificate in Special Education, preferably with relevant experience. Additionally, they must have Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance.
