Academic Services Specialist

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can provide exceptional support to students and their families. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and thrive in a virtual environment.

  • The Academic Services Specialist plays a critical role in the success of our organization by coordinating instructors, tracking student progress, and providing quality customer service.
  • Actively support regional operations, ensuring seamless execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Provide outstanding academic services to students and their families, fostering an environment of open communication and positive conflict resolution.
  • Operate effectively in a virtual operating environment, managing multiple responsibilities successfully.
  • Maintain high standards of people, financial, and academic excellence, ensuring delivery of programs and initiatives for our students and school district partners.
  • Meet operational excellence standards, prioritizing key objectives and adapting to changes in the work environment.
  • Provide virtual administrative support to regional operations, including answering phones, managing daily business data, and creating/manning schedules with students and teachers.
  • Manage class schedules to effectively staff sessions and meet company efficiency and usage targets.
  • Monitor all students' academic progress, helping ensure flawless execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct conferences with partner program directors to review progress, adjust academic plans, and renew enrollments.
  • Other responsibilities as required by the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent time management, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities successfully.
  • Professional and approachable demeanor, effective in virtual environments.
  • Ability to prioritize and focus on key objectives, which may change from month to month.
  • Effective communications both in virtual environments.
  • Proficient in using all communication media, including in-person, phone, and video.
  • Ability to build engagement and trust in virtual relationships, whether with customers or team members.
  • Works well with others, learning agility, and ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Able to acquire new skills as required.
  • Ability to engage, manage, and grow virtual relationships with customers, employees, and business partners.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, 2-3 years progressive career growth.
  • Experience working in a virtual operations and team environment.
