
Order Management Specialist

The Central Ordering Lead is a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely procurement of materials and services required for various projects. This position involves overseeing and managing central ordering processes within our Fit-Out Services department, collaborating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to execute all ordering activities effectively.
This key role fosters a strong customer service ethos within the central ordering team by demonstrating excellence in customer service personally and coaching team members to consistently deliver a customer-focused experience.
- Lead the central ordering team in purchasing materials and services, ensuring accurate and timely orders while adhering to project timelines.
- Track performance and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure materials are available when needed without overstocking, implementing inventory management best practices to minimize waste and optimize storage space.
- Continuously assess and improve ordering processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, implementing new technologies and systems as necessary.
- Work closely with centre delivery managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure all ordering activities support project goals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on ordering activities, supplier performance, and cost savings, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably within the construction or fit-out industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, with strong leadership skills to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
