Senior Operations Manager Role Summary

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of operations managers and/or team leaders. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, meeting service level agreements, and achieving financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and grow revenue; ensure profitability through effective management of revenue, margins, billing, seat utilization, and retention
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff proficiency; maintain employee relations and recognition initiatives
  • Select, train, develop, and manage the performance of direct reports and their associates; plan and assign work in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports to ensure consistent administration of company policies and standards; define and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Analyze and maintain client service level agreements; implement improvement plans as required
  • Ensure operational compliance with active contracts
  • Oversee client relationships; facilitate open communications, understand client expectations, and monitor client satisfaction
  • Partner with business development to leverage and expand new business opportunities from clients
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones with direct reports to review individual performance, team performance, and provide ongoing developmental support
  • Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement; resolve employee relation issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to review information from operational support functions; partner to define action plans that resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain relationships with strategic vendors to facilitate open communications, stay updated on changing technologies, and industry trends
  • Participate in opportunity review calls for new business; facilitate site visits from potential clients; stay informed through trade shows, industry events, and related activities
  • Host regular business reviews; communicate overall objectives through common reports (service reports and operational efficiency reports); ensure customer, operational, and capacity requirements are addressed; hold weekly meetings with functional leaders and direct reports to review site operations, needs, and upcoming events
Candidate Profile
  • Associate's degree preferred; more than ten years of experience, with two to four years of progressive management experience, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve work processes; establish a course of action for self and others to accomplish specific goals
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop action plans, maximizing performance, and providing effective feedback
  • Demonstrated ability to implement change; flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Work effectively under pressure; follow through on items to completion while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to present information effectively to internal and external associates
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and provide direction to a team of employees
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership, focusing on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a customer service disposition and sense of professionalism for self and team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
