The Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data. This involves reviewing analysis, substantiation, and reconciliation of accounts based on supporting documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily/weekly accounts analysis and reconciliations
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to the Accounting Manager
  • Implement accounting methods, internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets

Financial Data Processing:

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions by team members
  • Review schedule of accounts and notes to financial statements

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Comply with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
  • Identify noted and potential issues on assigned accounts

People Management:

  • Supervise first-line processors responsible for day-to-day operations
  • Perform consistent coaching sessions to address performance gaps

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in general accounting or financial audit (internal/external)
  • Experience in accruals and account analysis considering complexity and volume
  • Knowledge in computerized accounting systems
  • Adept in MS Office applications
  • Proficient in performing account reconciliations
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Quick learner and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
