About the Role

The Central Ordering Lead oversees and manages central ordering processes within our Fit-Out Services department.

This critical role ensures efficient and timely procurement of materials and services required for various projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to guarantee seamless execution of all ordering activities aligning with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

One key aspect is fostering a strong customer service ethos within the central ordering team.

The Central Ordering Lead demonstrates excellence in customer service personally while coaching and mentoring team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences consistently.

By instilling responsiveness, professionalism, and proactive problem-solving, the Lead ensures both internal and external clients receive outstanding service at every stage of the ordering process.

  • Ordering and Procurement Management: The Central Ordering Lead oversees the purchasing of materials and services.
  • Supplier Management: Track supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance ordering processes for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with centre delivery managers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on ordering activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Compliance: Ensure all ordering activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in construction or fit-out services.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
