About the Job

SAMLEX Global Services is looking for an Ocean Freight Cost Manager to lead our pricing efforts on the Europe Export Trade Lane. In this role, you will develop and implement pricing strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pricing Model Development: Create and maintain pricing models and tools to ensure accurate and efficient pricing decisions.
  2. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate rates and service agreements with ocean carriers and service providers, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  3. Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor pricing, and regulatory changes affecting the Europe Export Trade Lane.
  4. Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to provide customized pricing solutions for customers.
  5. Reporting and Analytics: Generate regular reports and analytics to inform pricing strategies and drive business decisions.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing management within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
