Job Overview

The Airfreight Pricing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the execution of an improved global tender process for airfreight products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Gatekeeper from pre-bid to post bid on nominated AFR opportunities to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage incoming RFQs and work closely with stakeholders to prepare, finalize, and deliver timely and winning tender responses.
  • Engage with country teams and regional pricing teams to verify the accuracy and adherence to customer requirements in bid responses.
  • Translate and execute CPT-IPT-CPT processes effectively.
  • Evaluate country pricing to bid and benchmark against comparative data to optimize customer pricing effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers such as Commercial Owners, Industry Sector Sales, Account-, and Product-Management.
  • Stay up-to-date with products and relevant market information and developments.
  • Follow up on submitted bids with Bid Managers to understand and document the bid outcome and lessons learned.
  • Understand the complexity of customer requirements, including air and ocean transportation, sector-specific knowledge, and IT customer solutions.
  • Support and document online sourcing activities directly with countries.
  • Support the development of technical narratives related to Airfreight Solutions.
Quality Assurance & Review:
  • Internal consistency check with guidance/Pricing Instructions.
  • Challenge pricing as necessary with CACC/RACC.
Support on Re-rounds & Final Offers:
  • Validation with regional/countries as needed.
  • Analysis to support walk-away decisions.
  • Support decision-makers with final rounds.
Continuous Improvement Processes:
  • Shorten turn-around times and improve quality.
  • Work with Regional AFR teams to facilitate and enable competitive and differentiating AFR pricing solutions.

  • As needed/required by Regional AFR Product.
