Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Senior Tax Accountants play a pivotal role in our organization. They are responsible for completing working papers and collaborating with the onshore team to ensure timely client tax compliance reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit individual income tax returns, business activity statements, installment activity statements, fringe benefits tax returns, and superannuation payments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage bookkeeping in client accounting files, utilizing software such as Xero, MYOB, and Quickbooks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process payroll in client accounting files using Xero and MYOB, ensuring seamless transactions and minimizing errors.
  • Upload invoice payments for clients, prepare monthly management reports (P&L and balance sheet), and review work prepared by junior accountants.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks, engage in continuous learning to enhance professional skills, and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Hold a graduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Possess 4-5 years of experience in Australian accounting or taxation, with comprehensive knowledge of client accounts and businesses.
  • Australian Taxation and Compliance expertise is preferred, along with general accounting experience and a solid background.
  • Must have experience in Individual, Partnership, Trust, and Company Compliance.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with accounting tools such as Xero, MYOB.
  • Ability to learn new systems and tools as needed.
