We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will be responsible for preparing and managing tax accounts, working papers, and annual tax returns for clients.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex tax issues while collaborating with client managers and accountants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, working papers, and tax returns in compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software for financial accounts and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage client data and documentation via secure cloud storage and email platforms.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice and troubleshooting on tax-related matters, including income tax obligations, capital gains tax calculations, goods and services tax compliance, and business activity statement preparation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams via email and collaboration tools.
  • Ensure timely delivery of work while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance, adhering to industry best practices.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • CPA, CA, or tax-specific qualifications, demonstrating expertise in taxation and accounting principles.
  • Experience with other Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Australian tax accounting, with proven expertise in tax compliance, regulations, and strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software, Xero Practice Manager, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and professionally.
