Accounts Receivable Role

This is a position that oversees accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment allocation and receipt verification.

The incumbent will be responsible for daily cash posting from various banks and financial institutions, daily postings from multiple lock boxes, monthly or weekly cash to accounting reconciliations, designing a comprehensive reconciliation process around lock box processes, and reporting on cash receipts and volumes.

The successful candidate will also update and maintain customer information when reviewing remittance details, perform account reconciliations, investigate and resolve any discrepancies, establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, other team members, and account managers, and collaborate with senior management when necessary to address customer complaints or payment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily cash posting from various banks and financial institutions.
  • Daily postings from multiple lock boxes.
  • Monthly or weekly cash to accounting reconciliations.
  • Designing a comprehensive reconciliation process around lock box processes.
  • Reporting on cash receipts and volumes.
  • Updating and maintaining customer information when reviewing remittance details.
  • Performing account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, other team members, and account managers.
  • Collaborating with senior management when necessary to address customer complaints or payment issues.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in accounts receivable, including collections and contract management. Experience in IT services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, and ConnectWise.
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
