Job Summary

This role is a part-time opportunity for an In-Field Mentor to support missionaries in their first twelve weeks in the field.

The mentor will provide instruction, counsel, and feedback through remote training using Preach My Gospel principles and other missionary resources. The goal is to enhance the learning experience of missionaries and help them develop valuable skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentors will report to trainer or supervisor level and meet with missionaries remotely to discuss their progress and provide guidance.
  • They will plan and prepare sessions following an approved curriculum to meet the individual needs of each missionary.
  • Directing missionaries in planning and accounting for their learning is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Mentors will implement direction and training from senior management and attend regular training meetings and one-on-ones.
  • They must ensure continued growth, development, and understanding of In-Field MLD practices and PMG curriculum.
Requirements
  • A returned missionary with less than 3 years of service or currently teaching at an MTC is preferred.
  • High proficiency in English (verbal and written) is necessary.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and training skills are essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Preach My Gospel are mandatory.
  • Mentors must be able to train remotely through video calls on a desktop or laptop.
  • Excellent interpersonal, prioritizing, professionalism, and leadership skills are required.
