About the role:
The Bid Coordinator plays a pivotal part in supporting the estimating team by overseeing bid documents, organizing proposal submissions, and coordinating deadlines. This position ensures that all bids are submitted accurately and on time, working closely with project managers, estimators, and clients to gather required information.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to manage bid packages and proposals for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the coordination and preparation of bid packages and proposals.
- Ensure timely submission of RFPs in compliance with requirements set out in the request for proposal (RFP) documents.
- Manage and organize all bid documents, including RFPs, technical specifications, drawings, and other related documents.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with submission guidelines.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other team members to gather necessary information and facilitate comprehensive bid preparation.
- Independently manage workload calendars for assigned regions.
- Meet workload demands and goals while tracking customer contacts and bidding projects.
- Construction industry experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings is beneficial.
- Proven track record of multitasking, email organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office products knowledge and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
