Job Summary

This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage daily driving logs, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and coordinate efficient loads. As a key point of contact for drivers and management, you will negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers, and identify special needs of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure drivers maintain compliance with DOT regulations and support customer requirements
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact to drivers and management
  • Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT
  • Assist in ensuring truck and driver readiness
  • Develop daily plans to balance the drivers' health and safety with customer requirements
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads
  • Implement programs to optimize cost
  • Combine shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize truck/driver requirement
  • Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Identify special needs of shipment and assist drivers in obtaining necessary documents
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency preferred
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Quick and thorough data entry/input background, including Excel and cloud-based storage
  • Excellent English communication skills, with minimal accent
  • Critical thinking and fast responsiveness
  • Previous dispatcher experience
