Job Overview

The role of Senior Legal Counsel for Project Development and Emerging Operations is to provide strategic legal support to the SN Aboitiz Power Group in project development, emerging operations, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on project finance transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the finance, operations, and business development teams, to support project financing initiatives;
  • Assist in the negotiation of, and drafting of transactional documents such as investment, share purchase, asset purchase, shareholders' merger agreements, and implementing documents for the acquisition of or investment into target entities;
  • Draft/review contracts and all other agreements/documents in connection with project development, including procurement terms of reference, bid package documents needed to secure, procure, or engage third party service providers;
  • Maintain close coordination with external lawyers on the progress of outstanding litigation cases;
  • Provide compliance and advisory services, including coordinating closely with regulatory affairs for updates on emerging regulations and/or regulatory matters and their potential impact to project development and construction;
  • Perform such other responsibilities as may be assigned by AVP-Legal Affairs.
