IT Project Manager Role

The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects from inception to completion. Their goal is to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Scope Definition: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with business leaders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate meetings, provide status updates, and ensure stakeholder expectations are managed.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during project execution.
  • Best Practices: Implement best practices for IT project management to minimize risks.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-7 years of experience in IT project management or a related field.
  • Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cloud computing.
  • Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
