Property Accountant sought after to manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple short-term rental platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily accounting operations for multiple properties.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, and booking platform payouts.
  • Track income, occupancy taxes, fees, and commissions from various rental platforms.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow reports.
  • Coordinate with property managers or hosts regarding budget adherence and expense tracking.
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and tax filings, including transient occupancy tax (TOT).
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning specific to seasonal rental cycles.
Requirements:
  • Accounting experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Excel; experience with short-term rental tools is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties/accounts is necessary.
