Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Information Security Officer to lead our security initiatives, drive compliance with various security frameworks, and protect our assets from emerging threats. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in information security, including experience with security frameworks and audits, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Security Frameworks: Develop and implement security frameworks that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Audits and Compliance: Lead and manage external audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, GDPR, EU AI Act).
  • Risk Management: Assess and identify gaps in security controls, develop strategies for remediation, and improve our security posture.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure coherent security practices across the organization.
  • Change Management Requests: Review change management requests to ensure alignment with compliance frameworks and security standards.
  • Regular Updates: Prepare and present regular updates to senior leadership on the status of security initiatives and audit findings.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security assurance and compliance (HIPAA experience highly preferred).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as HITRUST CSF, SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, etc.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading external audit engagements, including preparation, facilitation, and follow-up.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
