We are looking for an experienced Legal Client Intake Coordinator to join our team

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the intake process from initial inquiry to case assignment, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for every client.

  • Gather essential information from potential new clients via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Assess the suitability of cases and coordinate closely with legal staff to ensure accurate case initiation.
Key Responsibilities

The following are key responsibilities of this role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for potential new client inquiries.
  • Conduct thorough intake interviews via telephone to gather critical information regarding potential legal matters.
  • Prepare detailed summaries of intake interviews.
  • Follow up with potential new clients regarding any documents requested for review.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal, administrative, or client service role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a legal support or client intake-related position, preferably in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with U.S. legal terminology and procedures.
Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following skills will be highly regarded:

  • Proficient in using legal practice management software (e.g., Clio).
  • Proficient in using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, especially Gmail and Word documents.
Work Environment

This is a remote work opportunity with minimal supervision.

Candidates must be able to work effectively as part of a team with attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members.
