A Patient Services Representative plays a crucial part in ensuring patient satisfaction and resolving their queries. Their key responsibilities include understanding patient needs by engaging in thorough discussions and actively listening to their concerns. They then ensure that patients receive necessary support by coordinating information from various sources, including consumers, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.
Main Responsibilities- The incumbent will be responsible for responding to incoming calls according to established procedures and departmental standards.
- They will assist patients in addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Collection of outstanding balances from patients is also an essential duty.
- Furthermore, they will collaborate with third-party entities, such as insurance companies, to resolve patient account-related issues.

- They will provide support to patients regarding billing queries and concerns.
- The representative must adhere to HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding sensitive patient information while performing their duties.
- Teamwork and cooperation with colleagues to achieve department and company goals are expected.
- Maintaining good attendance records and punctuality are also required.
- A degree in a related field or at least two years of college education are preferred.
- Courses and degrees related to the medical field are advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is also required.
- Confidentiality is paramount, and the representative must be able to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Basically math calculations can be performed efficiently.
- Detailed oriented person.
- Email proficiency is expected.
