Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

The role of an Enterprise Risk Management Specialist is to develop and implement a risk management framework that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and risk tolerance. This involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various areas such as financial, operational, regulatory, and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework that integrates risk assessments, risk monitoring, and risk reporting.
  • Establish risk policies, procedures, and governance structures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead business continuity and crisis management initiatives to minimize disruption and maximize recovery in the event of unexpected events or disasters.
  • Oversee financial and investment risk oversight, including stress testing, solvency, liquidity, credit, and counterparty risks to ensure prudent decision-making and risk-taking.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate strategic, operational, regulatory, and emerging risks to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and to prevent potential losses.
  • Serve as Fraud Risk Officer to embed anti-fraud controls and investigate potential fraud incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a positive reputation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field or business, preferably with a background in finance, accounting, or economics.
  • Operational and/or financial roles within the insurance industry, focusing on risk management and analysis.
  • Experience in litigation and updated Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) seminars, demonstrating a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and risk management practices in general insurance, enabling effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
