Job Title: Insurance Head

The Insurance Head plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's insurance strategy, providing expert advice and support on all matters related to insurance. As the chief insurance authority, this individual directs and guides the business units, ensuring their awareness of risk profiles and adherence to optimal insurance programs.


Responsibilities:
  1. Insurance Strategy Development and Governance
  • Define, propose, and implement a comprehensive group insurance strategy, encompassing the acquisition of insurance coverage, appointment of brokers, claim administrators, and other services supporting the insurance programs. Deploy the insurance strategy across associated companies within the Group.
  • Maintain and improve existing insurance programs, offering technical and professional guidance to the business as necessary.
  • Ensure various divisions within the Group are informed about insurance coverage and premiums charged.
  • Promote mechanisms for efficient provision of insurance, including governance, performance measurement, administration, and outcomes evaluation. Disseminate feedback to relevant parties.
Strategic Partnership Management
  • Nurture relationships with service providers, including brokers, insurers, claim handlers, and loss adjusters.
  • Secure favorable insurance arrangements through negotiations with insurers.
  • Communicate essential business information, standards, and requirements to brokers and consultants to ensure competitive pricing and coverage.
  • Actively manage interfaces with service providers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services.
  • Identify and mitigate insurance-related risks throughout the Group by defining and implementing risk mitigation processes.
  • Contribute to the development of the organization's risk management process, promoting awareness of its importance through active participation in relevant working groups.
Claims Management
  • Manage large, complex claims effectively.
  • Provide claims advice and guidance to the businesses.
  • Deliver quarterly reports to the Board for corporate governance purposes.
