Chief Credit Risk Officer

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's financial growth and stability. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing credit risk policies and procedures tailored to real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Policy & Strategy Development:
    • Create, implement, and maintain effective credit risk policies and procedures.
    • Align credit strategies with the company's investment and development objectives.
  • Credit Evaluation & Approval Management:
    • Lead the assessment of borrower creditworthiness.
    • Approve or escalate credit decisions based on risk thresholds and financial analysis.
  • Portfolio Risk Management Oversight:
    • Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio.
    • Identify emerging risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of credit analysts and underwriters.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with legal, finance, and property management teams.
    • Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions and new developments.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Provide regular reports to executive leadership.
    • Leverage data analytics to enhance credit decision-making and forecasting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in credit risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. lending regulations and real estate market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in credit scoring models and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
