Benefits Navigator Role

The Benefits Navigator plays a crucial role in helping patients access care confidently. This position is responsible for verifying insurance benefits to ensure patients have accurate information about their coverage and running prescription monitoring program (PMP) reports to support safe prescribing practices. As a friendly and supportive resource, the Benefits Navigator helps remove barriers so patients can focus on their mental health journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned tasks according to job description for 40 hours a week
  • Conduct timely insurance verifications
  • Communicate accurately with patients regarding their coverage
  • Run prescription history reports through the prescription monitoring platform
  • Enter client personal health information and other clinical data
  • Complete other tasks assigned by the Lead Care Navigator
